The Participant role is completely free. Researcher features require a Pro plan ($20/mo), but you can explore the platform as a Participant first.

Each interview is priced based on actual token usage at a rate of Token Cost × 10. Half of that total goes to the platform and half is paid out to the Participant. The estimated cost is held from the Researcher's wallet before recruitment begins.

For every interview that passes quality review, the Participant receives 50% of the total interview charge as a reward. Earnings go straight to the Participant's Avoko wallet and can be withdrawn via PayPal.

Each Pro plan comes with a 5M token soft limit. If a study requires more, Researchers can use up to 8M tokens per billing cycle. The allowance resets automatically when a new cycle begins.

No. Researcher wallets include up to $5.00 in overdraft protection, so small shortfalls won't disrupt active studies. You can top up anytime via PayPal, starting at $10.00.

Every completed interview is scored and reviewed — only those meeting quality standards trigger a payout. Participants also build reputation over time through a gaming-inspired system: strong interviews raise their score and unlock priority matching, while poor performance lowers their standing.

Yes. The $20/month subscription covers access to research tools (study design, AI-powered interview editing, data analysis, and report generation) along with a monthly token quota. Recruitment is billed separately — each completed interview incurs a small cost based on actual token consumption (typically under $1). The total is split 50/50 between the platform fee and participant reward. Before publishing, costs are estimated and frozen from your wallet; unused slots are automatically refunded.
